Good Morning!
Can you believe that the first month of school has come and gone? It has been a wonderful month getting to know your precious children.  They have worked so hard to settle into life as a first grader.
I hope you and your family enjoyed the first long weekend of the school year!
Please enjoy this video of your children practicing our noun jingle in class, I'll post the lyrics along with our new poem in a separate post
Announcements:
Bubble Math: Last week in class we began a new math fact fluency program. This program is called “Bubble Math” and will allow your children to master both speed and fluency of their math facts. Throughout the school year your children will practice adding and subtracting numbers from 1-20. As they progress through the numbers, they may receive an award or even some real (sugar free) bubble gum (sent home to be used as you see fit). Please note that your child will begin bringing home some optional, yet recommended, bubble math practice pages in their green folder starting this week. Please practice these for 2 minutes each night or as you see fit (maybe on the weekend or in the car), if you do finish them at home please send them back to school for review.
