We will practice a new poem each month. A physical copy of the poem will be sent home with your child in their green folder at the beginning of each month. They will recite this poem in class at the end of each month so please practice it for one minute nightly (I suggest keeping it in the car or on the kitchen fridge).
Caterpillar
by Christina Rossetti
Brown and furry
Caterpillar in a hurry,
Take your walk
To the shady leaf, or stalk,
Or what not,
Which may be the chosen spot.
No toad spy you,
Hovering bird of prey pass by you;
Spin and die,
To live again a butterfly.
